GOOGLE | Senior UX Designer (L5) | 2018 - Present
Develop product vision for unannounced Daydream wearable project by defining critical user journeys, creating product/experience mockups and vision videos, leading multi-disciplinary design sprints, presenting to leadership, and working across PA’s for collaboration and integration.
Established physical and non-disclosed interaction paradigms for unannounced Daydream wearable project, refining designs with UXR and marketing, leading prototype development, advising component requirements, and contributing to critical NTI efforts.
Directly responsible individual (DRI) for Assistant design, integration, and execution for an unannounced HW wearables product, including multi-disciplinary and cross PA collaboration, extensive user flow documentation, and Assistant side out-of-box experience (OOBE) design.
Design lead for VR180 application (Daydream) post-launch. Provided designs and oversaw implementation of time-lapse camera settings, make 2d (wigglegrams), and automatic uploads, as well as providing designs multiple unreleased features.
VICARIOUS | Co-founder & Head of Product | 2015 - 2018
Define the product vision, develop product strategy/roadmap, and manage all product development for Vicarious, a hybrid mobile/VR social media app for 360 photo and video stories. Released for Daydream May 2017 and iOS September 2017.
Manage a development team of five, including coordination between design, client, and backend engineers, running daily scrum, setting deliverable schedules, and validating completed tasks.
All design related tasks including: User and market research, User experience design, UI design and development including the creation and implementation of all art assets (2D and 3D).
Develop brand and marketing strategies to increase awareness, grow the user base, and drive active use. Personally created all advertisements and channel media. Ran ads using Facebook Ads Manager and Google AdWords.
Grow the company by pitching investors, presenting at trade shows and conferences, interviewing and hiring employees/contractors, creating promotions, and establishing the Featured Creators and Student Ambassador Program.

SAMSUNG RESEARCH AMERICA - DALLAS | Staff Interaction Designer | 2012 - 2015
Lead interaction designer for Samsung R&D software and algorithms lab. Project experience spanning prototype to commercial delivery in mobile apps, wearables, head-mounted display, and web. Project portfolio includes: Gear VR a mobile VR device, Milk VR a 360 video platform, Health App chronic disease management platform, Smart Switch mobile app for migrating content between devices, PrinTap mobile app for ordering photo prints from retailers, Microserver web-based server management tool.
Secured corporate approval to provide exclusively design related services, tripling the size of the design team through funded design projects. Participated in Samsung’s Global UX Fair 2013 & 2014 and HIMSS 2014.
Defined feature requirements through stakeholder interviews. Served as primary point of contact (POC) for all UX/UI design matters. Communicate design intent through workflows, wireframes, mockups, specifications, and visual assets.
Manage design team output through workshops and reviews. Lead collaboration with development and testing teams to guarantee functional and visual design quality from concept through delivery.
Use domain knowledge to create and present product pitches, research proposals, marketing materials, and patents. Maintain current understanding of latest innovations in HCI trends, emerging form factors, AR/VR, and design standards.
Intellectual Property: Six declarations of invention (DOI) pertaining to UI and Graphics submitted. The department and HQ patent review boards gave three of these grades of A. Personally named in two patents successfully submitted to USPTO.
2014 Promoted from Senior to Staff Interaction Designer
HALLIBURTON | Product Owner and Design Lead | 2011 - 2012
Product Owner and design lead for internal software group specialized in Testing and Subsea software products. Projects include: Schematic Builder program for tool-string design and schematics, Performance Metrics Dashboard web app to aggregate and analyze performance metrics across departments, and Cobramax and Equiflow AV product animations.
Worked with clients to create user stories, prioritize backlog, and accept completed user stories. Represented voice of the customer in daily scrums, sprint planning, and sprint reviews.
Developed and maintained marketing requirements documents, project roadmaps, and product integration strategy. Defined requirements for departmental software need through client and subject-matter-expert (SME) interviews.
Collaborated directly with development to plan, execute and refine acceptance criteria, performing triage as needed.
2011 Promoted from Designer to Product Owner and trained by contracted consultant in Agile methodology.
JOEB MOORE + PARTNERS ARCHITECTS, LLC. | Staff Architect | 2006 - 2009
Worked with firm partner on design and delivery of residential projects including: $15 million vacation home, $200,000 master suite remodel, $2 million primary residence renovation.
Developed project concepts, active participation in client meetings, coordinated consultants, produced construction documentation (including construction details), reviewed shop drawing, and negotiated bids.
Contributed to brand identity in the industry through design of presentation templates, competition entries, marketing materials, and file archive standards.
Created architectural representations of aforementioned projects with material such as digital models, physical models, architectural visualizations, and conceptual diagrams.
2007 and 2008 Promoted from intern, to junior, and finally to staff architect, respectively.
FLANK | Intern Architect | 2006
Worked on development of a $20 million “green” luxury hotel. Designed hotel rooms and corridors, prepared interior plans and elevations, researched room lighting and materials, and developed interior construction details.
